Defoamers, also known as antifoaming agents, are chemicals added to the system to suppress foam formation and control foam-related issues. Defoamers work by destabilizing foam bubbles and reducing their surface tension, causing them to collapse and dissipate. By preventing excessive foam formation, defoamers help maintain stable operation and maximize evaporator performance.
